“Up To Snow Good” Polar Bear Platinum Leaf Original Acrylic Painting 100 x 100 cm
I’ve recently started my new winter 2024 collection, and this painting is the second of a pair of originals. These pieces will consist of three parts in one design.
You can now make this painting YOURS for CHRISTMAS !
This 100 x 100 cm original acrylic painting begins with a shadowing effect of the parent polar bear in the background with snowflakes, snowdrops, and white splatters of paint. My vision behind this piece was the babies taking their first steps into the world with their parent watching from behind.
On the second layer, there is a large metallic snowflake, which has a base of charcoal, paynes grey, and cool blue tones with a mix of pearl white, silver, champagne metallic enamel guiding…oh yes, and also genuine platinum leaf!
Finally, finishing off the painting with two precious baby polar bears, (I’m hoping to top the last piece and make these little guys even fluffier) As with all my paintings, I like to complete the painting with a border; for the first time ever, instead of gold, I will be using genuine platinum leaf, which is just so exciting!
This acrylic painting will be finished in a high gloss professional varnish to help protect the painting and keep the platinum leaf shining! Finished off with a wooden frame hand crafted by myself, stained and protected with a strong satin stain. Arrives ready to hang!
