"Reflections" 24ct Gold Leaf Swan Lake Original Painting 60 x 80 cm

Inspired by the new direction my life has taken while nurturing new life myself, I felt compelled to express the feelings of slowing down, embracing new beginnings, and appreciating the simple moments found in nature. “Reflections” is the first painting in the 2026 “Reborn” Collection.

Based on a lake near my home, this piece brings to life a scene I often romanticize during the cold, dull winter months. I imagine the sweeping branches of the weeping willows dancing in a gentle breeze, the warm sunrise reflecting across a mirror-like lake, and the peaceful sound of water lapping against the banks lined with spring’s freshest blooms — while a family of swans glides gracefully by, their cygnets paddling to keep up.

This 60x80cm painting is complete with a genuine 24ct gold leaf boarder and subtle speckles of metallic gold and white paint. The piece will be sealed in a professional high-gloss varnish, the back signed and dated, accompanied by a certificate of authenticity, care and thank you card. 

The option to have a handcrafted wooden frame created by myself, all ready to hang on arrival, is available within the options below.

A new style of art

Founded in 2020, Made By Charl Studio is the home of creativity. It is hard to describe in one word what I do, one day I am drawing a pencil family portrait and the next I am painting a large abstract metallic painting. I have narrowed it down to Artist-Designer-Maker.
